Working on a book right now of Japanese art through the ages for the MFAH, so quite interested in book design. Have to admit, never really thought of pasta having geometry. Sweet cover. designtank: Now, be honest: Without seeing it, would you be interested in a cookbook that includes the word geometry in the title? Probably not. But this book, a mash-up of Italian Futurism, Op Art, and Marimekko fabrics, is irresistible to those of Italian heritage (like me!) and pasta lovers everywhere. The book combines illustrations of pasta shapes and recipes for pairing pasta and sauce. The story behind the design is told in an interview at Imprint, an online community for graphic designers.
